How much money would i be able to make by selling slightly used clothes at a second hand clothing store?

I would like to take some of my slightly used clothing to a local second hand consignment shop to be sold. The clothes are mostly from Hollister, american eagle and aeropostale. they are in great condition. How much money do you think i would be able to make off of this?

  1. depends on the brand and condition of the clothes if its a shirt ull most likely get about $7 its really not that much
  2. It depends on what kind of second hand shop it is, but normally when you take clothes to places like that you don't get much for them. i took a whole bunch of abercrombie things to a place like that some of it still had tags on it, and it wasn't cheap either and i only got maybe 40 bucks for it.
  3. They take a percentage of the selling price, each store is different you would have to ask. I just sold a bunch of clothes on Ebay. You might try craigslist too its free and people who live locally can pick it up from your house.
  4. not much at plato's closet u get like .50 for tees and like 7 for jeans...so wayyyy cheaper than what you paid for...its like getting ripped off but if you would rather not wear those clothes again then yeah u can make some money
  5. It just depends on where you go, you should call the places first and ask them about the amounts they pay for clothes..I know where I live we have a stores called Platos Closet.. they take name brand teen clothing, they only pay a few dollars for each item. We also have some stores that take clothes and give you half of what they sell it for and give a check for it after they sell it...its better to do it that way so you get more money...but you could always sell them on ebay or craigslist if you have pictures of the items...I think craigslist is better because you can just have the person pick it up and not have to pay for the shipping but then again with clothes they may want to try it on and it may not fit then you've lost your sale... so theres different amounts you can get the choice is really yours.
  6. you probably wouldn't get much. it's better off if you were to sell them on ebay
  7. I suggest you sell them yourself. There are a couple of online stores out there that you can check out.
