What is pinging a website? How can use pinging to make money on google?

Lately I have been trying to find some info on pinging, but still do not have a clue. I heard from a couple that they use pinging to make tons of money on yahoo and google as it more effective than PPC. How can I make from pinging?

1. Pinging is just a way to let other websites such as search engines and and blog directories either know about your website or an update to your website. There's no way to make money with just pinging, you have to have a website or a blog with killer information to ping the search engines. Once you create a website or blog and you have great information on it what you would do is go to a site like pingomatic.com, enter in the URL of your new website, blog, webpage or blog post and then submit it. Then the ping service would let a whole bunch of other sites know that your website was updated. But again, you can't make money with just pinging. However, I think I can help you there.
