I don't know how it varies from state to state, but file for unemployment, (you don't have to be jobless as I used to think before I did it) and they will take your highest grossing quarter in the past 6 quarters and match your pay back to that. For example if you made an average of $500 a week in your highest quarter but now only make $250 they will give you $250. This should be good for 6 months. It takes about a month or two before you get your first check. This is all from MI though, so other states may vary. I never agreed with unemployment, but it pays the bills.
